| The rare 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card is the world's most valuable, recently selling for over 1 million dollars in an online auction. Used by the American Tobacco Company to promote Piedmont cigarettes, card production was halted by the "Flying Dutchman" because he was strongly opposed to cigarette smoking. Only 50-60 cards were printed, of which only a handful were sold to the public. |
