Honus Wagner

Honus Wagner

One of five players originally elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936, "The Flying Dutchman" is widely regarded as the best shortstop to ever play the game. He won eight N.L. batting crowns and ranks among the Pirates’ top 10 in 11 offensive categories. His number 33 was formally retired in 1952 and a statue of his likeness currently stands in front of PNC Park.
