A 20-game winner six straight years (1950-55), Roberts led the NL in wins for four straight seasons, starting in 1952 when he won a career high 28 games. A seven time All Star, Roberts had his number 36 formally retired in 1962 and was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1976.
