Wally Moon
| Moon's outstanding initial season with the Cardinals won him accolades as the 1954 Rookie of the Year, over future HOF players Ernie Banks and Hank Aaron. Traded to the Dodgers in 1959, he played a significant part in their World Series championship. His patented swing that popped balls over the high L.A. Coliseum left field screen were known as "Moon Shots." Appropriately, Moon was the last man to score a run at the Coliseum. |
